CCNP Version 3.0
New Proficiency Requirements

Demonstrating Proficiency for the new CCNP curriculum signifies that an instructor has shown that he/she has the technical knowledge and skills covered in the new CCNP v3.0 curriculum content. It does not imply that instructors have to go to any additional training. Instructors only need to exhibit their knowledge by either holding current certifications (see table below) or by passing the Bridge online final exam and skills-based exam for each Version 3.0 course that they plan to teach.

Summary of Current Options Available for Demonstrating CCNP Proficiency

  • Grandfathered into CCNP and CCNA bridge courses through Cisco certification
  • Pass online final exam and skills-based exam (no instruction) for CCNP 1 Bridge from Cisco
  • Participate in bridge course training and pass Bridge exams for CCNP 1, CCNP 2, CCNP 3 and CCNP 4 offered by a CATC
