Kevin R. MacRitchie

Kevin R. MacRitchie is Vice President of Global Defense, Space, and Security at Cisco Systems, Inc.

Mr. MacRitchie has established a world-class team uniquely positioned to architect long-term solutions which address the exceeding complex challenges of the government’s core Internet environment. MacRitchie’s strategic initiatives focus on delivering innovative solutions to secure the vast networks comprising of global defense, space, and security.

The Global Defense group is made up of teams representing the US Army, Navy, and Air Force, whose missions are to deliver solutions, platforms, and value added support allowing the US military to achieve their global defense goals.

MacRitchie’s NASA team is chartered to develop integrated policies, programs, and tools required to advance NASA’s Vision for Space Exploration operational goals in a secure manner. Additionally, the Security & Homeland Security Office team is committed to providing the technological resources uniquely required by governments to protect their homeland through evolutionary improvements to current technological capabilities and development of revolutionary new technological capabilities such as the wireless communications needs of public safety organizations.

MacRitchie joined Cisco in April of 1993 as a Systems Engineer and has progressively taken on positions of increasing responsibility. Initially, MacRitchie was promoted to Systems Engineering Manager in the US Midwest Area, thereafter to Systems Engineer Director (SED). As an SED, MacRitchie lead the US Federal System Engineering Team to achieve its highest customer satisfaction results.  He later played an instrumental role in driving Cisco’s Global Y2K Readiness Program.  Promoted to Vice President of WW Channels Operations in August 2004, MacRitchie’s dedication enabled Cisco Partner Community success through major focus on Partner Development, Brand Protection, and Customer & Partner Satisfaction and Loyalty.

Prior to joining Cisco, MacRitchie worked at Trinova where he designed and implemented a network architecture that would transition the company to a global IP and multi-protocol based LAN/WAN environment.

MacRitchie holds one of the industry’s first Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) certifications.

MacRitchie, his wife, and two children live in Michigan on his horse and buffalo ranch.
