Cisco Networking Academies offer coursework for a complete range of networking concepts by providing basic through
advanced training in a “real world” lab setting. Students are taught through a “learn by doing” model where they receive the
necessary building blocks for today’s global information networks by designing and bringing to life local and wide-area
networks.
Through the Cisco Networking Academy program, high school students can learn the information needed to prepare them for
the Cisco Certified Networking Associate Exam. This certification positions them for immediate openings in a talent-hungry
job market or for engineering and science focused college studies.
The Cisco Networking Academy offers a complete, four-semester curriculum on the principles and practices of designing,
building and maintaining networks capable of supporting national and global organizations. This curriculum assumes no prior
knowledge of computers or networks to allow all students the opportunity to succeed.
The overall Cisco Networking Academy program uses Regional Academies as hubs, each of which support a minimum of ten
Local Academies. These Regional Academies facilitate a “train-the-trainer” model by instructing teachers to oversee
programs at the Local Academy level. Local Academies receive mentoring and technical support from their Regional
Academy and are backed with SMARTnet services, a service and support program that provides around the clock access to
assistance from Cisco’s Technical Assistance Center.
