The Cisco Networking Academy Program is preparing tomorrow's technology leaders The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a global e-learning program offering students an opportunity to pursue IT careers through online instructor-led training and hands-on lab exercises. Currently there are 174 Cisco Networking Academies in the state of Ohio. The Cisco Networking Academy Program offers courses in PC Repair and Troubleshooting (A+), Windows and Linux sever set up, services and maintenance, Networking (CCNA) , Wireless, Advanced Networking (CCNP) and Network Security. The program utilizes web based curricula, online assessment and an online grade book. Comprehensive High Schools and Career Centers are able to align local programs to the itWorks.Ohio Information Technology Career Field Technical Content Standards utilizing the Cisco Networking Academy Curricula. By doing so local programs are able to receive Perkins dollars to pay for equipment, training and supplies. High schools using the Cisco Academy curricula are able to articulate with institutes of higher learning. Students are receiving college credit and scholarships for the Cisco Academy courses taken in high school.  The IT skills learned in the Cisco Academy in high school lay a solid foundation for computer science degrees and programs at several Ohio colleges  including: Belmont Technical College, Clark State Community College, Clermont College, Columbus State Community College, Cuyahoga Community College, Edison Community College, Hocking College, James A Rhodes State College, Jefferson Community College, Lakeland Community College, Lorain County Community College, Marion Technical College, North Central State College, North Central Technical College, Northwest State Community College, Ohio University-Lancaster, Owens Community College - Findlay, Owens Community College - Toledo, Sinclair Community College, Stark State University, Stautzenberger College, Terra Community College.
